The primary goal of the project, through the implementation of experimental development, is to demonstrate up to a triple increase of the fatigue life of the airframe of the modernized L‑39NG aircraft, which is manufactured with the use of advanced materials and production technologies. Also, with the use of systems for monitoring the health of the structure with extensive use of modern monitoring means of the condition and integrity of the airframe structure.
The following stages are solved in the project:
– Verified prototype of the airframe design of the L-39NG aircraft with three times longer service life than the original design, including fatigue tests of the horizontal tailplane and the airframe
– Verified prototype of the design of the composite aileron of the L-39NG aircraft manufactured by the technology of automatic winding, including fatigue test of the aileron and tests of composite samples
– Verified prototype of the design of the landing gear legs of the L-39NG aircraft through fatigue tests
– Verified prototype of SHM system for flight evaluation of residual fatigue life of L-39NG aircraft based on advanced software evaluation of data from a network of sensors located on the aircraft structure
