The objective in this area is to develop new technical solutions for small satellites that enable operational control of satellite movement and the execution of proximity satellite operations. This also includes the knowledge base and technical support for the ground segment, which consists of a ground station and a mission operations center responsible for managing satellites and constellations. One of the sub-goals methodically and systematically supports the operation of the ground station and the Mission Operations Center (MOC) for satellite and constellation control.
In this area, VZLU AEROSPACE has set the following four goals for the upcoming five-year period (2023 – 2027), which are expected to result in specific technical solutions:
Sub-goals:
- Key components of a modular architecture for the onboard electronics of small satellites
- A system for proximity satellite operations
- A system for mission planning and management of small satellites and their constellations
