Satellite integration and testing will continue until March next year. The satellite bodies measure 30 x 20 x 10 cm, while their solar panels span 90 cm. Both satellites are expected to be launched into orbit in July 2027.

The VZLUGEM mission is a constellation of 6U satellites equipped with propulsion systems. Its goal is to develop technologies for in-orbit close operations, enabling satellites to communicate and approach one another. And it is these technologies that can be used for in-orbit servicing missions to non-functional or damaged satellites, space debris removal, or threats to Earth’s critical infrastructure.

The VZLUGEM project is funded by the “Long-term development of a research organization” (DKRVO 2023-2027) program through institutional support from the Czech Republic’s Ministry of Industry and Trade.
