The European Space Act is a crucial topic for the future of Europe’s space activities — and it is important that we actively talk about it. As Chair of Association of European Space Research Establishments (ESRE), Josef Kašpar, Chairman of the Board and CEO of VZLU AEROSPACE, took part in this important discussion at the European Space Conference in Brussels. VZLU AEROSPACE had the honour of chairing ESRE for two years, underlining our long-term commitment to European cooperation in space research and innovation.
The European Space Act will bring new challenges, but also create opportunities to enhance safety, resilience, sustainability, and Europe’s strategic autonomy in space. However, we also need to highlight areas of competitiveness, research and innovations, which are not sufficiently contained. This is why our engagement in these conversations is essential. We welcome initiatives such as this panel and look forward to continued dialogue that will shape the next stage of Europe’s space governance.
