Workshop: Call for proposals no. 3 in the priority Sustainable Surface Transport and Aeronautics

On 7 October 2009, the workshop on the call for proposals no. 3 in the priority Sustainable Surface Transport and Aeronautics was held on the premises of the Technology Centre of the Academy of Sciences. The workshop was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Transport Research Centre, EU Research Directorate-General, Association of Aviation Manufacturers, Aeronautical Research and Test Institute, etc. The workshop was opened by Martin Škarka from the Technology Centre of Czech Academy of Sciences presenting the outcomes of the call for proposals no. 2 of the 7th EU Framework Programme (FP7) in the priority Surface Transport and Aeronautics. He pointed out the low participation of Czech researchers which was significantly below the European average. Then he opened the discussion on the support of the participation of Czech entities in the and increasing their success within the other calls for proposals of the Framework Programme .
Pavlína Makovská from the Aeronautical Research and Test Institute delivered her presentation concerning the call for proposals no. 3 in the Aeronautics priority. In the next part Makovská presented the document Trade Contact Organisations for Aeronautical and Space Research which supports the participation of Czech organisations in the EU Framework Programme projects.
Another presentation by Miloš Vališ from the Association of Aviation Manufacturers in the Czech Republic (ALV) was also related to aeronautics, dealing with the Czech Technology Platform for Aeronautics and Space Research, its major activities and schedule in individual stages.
