VZLU is developing cooperation with the most famous Russian air research center TSAGI

The main objective of the project is the applicationof composite materials into the primary design of the regional aircraft, which will significantly improve its reliability and operational efficiency.

TSAGI is one of the most important research center in the Russian Federation dealing with aeronautics, modern hydromechanics and aeromechanics. In the ASTRA project, its research will focus on the selection of operational requirements for a regional aircraft, the development of computational models, and the analysis of structural aircraft fuselage models. VZLU will focus on the aerodynamic efficiency of the aircraft, the application of composites in its primary design, or, for example, production efficiency. The project will run between 2018 and 2020 with a total subsidy for the VZLU of about 7 million CZK.

The AStRA research project No.LTARF18040 is financially supported within the Inter-Action in Inter-Excellence Program of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
