Research on active flow control

AFC research fields:

  • Development of software tools and solutions for active flow control in order to increase aerodynamic efficiency of transport vehicles or their parts
  • Development of laboratory demonstrators for active flow control  
  • Optimization and application of the actuators for AFC
  • Exploitation of AFC tools for tasks  in internal aerodynamics
  • Exploitation of AFC tools for cooling of turbine blades
  • Numerical and experimental development of the air curtain

 

Equipment:

  • Specialized software tools for calculation of AFC influence on flow field
  • Low-speed and high-speed wind tunnels for experimental work and measurements
