PROJECT TITLE:

Development of a small aircraft turbine engine combustion system for alternative fuels.
 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The project focuses on the development of technologies for the design and optimization of the small turbine engine combustion system for modification to alternative fuels and their subsequent experimental verification. The project was initiated by the need of the First Brno Machine Plant Velká Bíteš, a.s. to optimize the combustion chamber of the TJ100 turbine engine for diesel and bioliquids. The aim of the project will be the design and experimental verification of the necessary modifications of the TJ100 combustion chamber for the use of alternative fuels with regard to optimal combustion inside the chamber and the maintenance of low levels of CO and NOx, including low smoke numbers. Numerical CFD models will be used for the theoretical solution of combustion on the open source Open Source platform (open source) platform.
