Integration of the SHM into the continuing airworthiness system of a small transport airplane
The project deals with applied research and experimental development of a system for automatic monitoring of critical and difficult to access or totally inaccessible parts of the aircraft dragon, called Structure Health Monitoring (SHM) system. Implementing the SHM system at an early stage of aircraft design, installing the system on an aircraft, implementing a maintenance plan, and subsequently putting it into service will greatly contribute to increasing aircraft performance and reducing the material and energy demands of aircraft production and operation.
