ALV CR – Association of Aviation Manufacturers of Czech Republic

As a supplier of research & development and testing work, VZLU collaborates closely with the Czech aerospace industry represented by ALV CR. ALV CR was established in 1994 to promote the Czech aerospace industry as a strategic industrial branch affecting strongly other industries. Today the Association comprises more than forty Czech companies and since 2000 it is a member of ASD - Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe.

EREA – Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautics

VZLU is EREA member since 2001. The Association comprises 9 national aerospace establishments of the EU. EREA has a strong influence on making European policy in aerospace research and technological development. Members of the Association are involved in the preparations of programmes to promote European research and development of new technologies.

ICAS – The International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences

Since 2008 VZLU has been an associate member of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences – ICAS. ICAS is a non-governmental non-profit scientific organization that was established in 1957 to ensure cooperation within aerospace companies. To become an ICAS member and work on its tasks is a privilege of international associations and societies dedicated to research and development in the field of aviation and space. Nowadays ICAS comprises 32 companies from many countries. It is mainly focused on organizing international meetings dealing with aerospace issues and topics and promoting international collaboration in aeronautics.

ASD – AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe

VZLU is taking an active part in ASD committees and control bodies through its membership in ALV. ASD represents the interests of European aerospace and defence industries to enhance competitive development of this sector. ASD is engaged in activities that require solutions at European or multinational level. ASD comprises 30 member associations from 20 European countries and represents more than 2,000 companies together with 80,000 suppliers. The industrial sector employs over 634,000 people with a turnover of more than 132.2 billion Euro a year.

OSTIV

VZLU is a scientific and technical member of Organisation Scientifique et Technique du Vol à Voile (OSTIV). OSTIV is a specialized independent non-profit international organization associated to the World Air Sports Federation, FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale). It groups all important institutions, organizations and individuals engaged in scientific, technical and operational aspects of gliding. The task of OSTIV is to support and coordinate the scientific and technical development of gliding and the use of gliders in fundamental and applied research.

UVS International

VZLU is arepresentative of ALV CR in UVS (Unmanned Vehicle Systems International).UVS International unites industrial organizations, research establishments, governmental bodies and operators in the field of unmanned vehicles. It devotes itself to air, land and water vehicles. Its mission is to influence and provide support to the future development of the field, cooperation in the development of legislative documents, to promote cooperation between industrial and research organizations, and last but not least help the exchange of information.

Czech Society for Surface Treatment

VZLU is a member of the Czech Society for Surface Treatment, ČSPU. It is a voluntary, independent, non-political association that unites professionals working in the field of surface treatment and thereby directly or indirectly related processes in the Czech Republic. Its mission is to ensure expansion and progress of the field in question and establish contacts among those interested in the field.

EASN – European Aeronautics Science Network

VZLU is a member of EASN – European Aeronautics Science Network. The EASN aims to bring the European universities with aeronautics activities into an integrated network, operating in parallel with industry and the national research establishments. The central element is an open, Internet based network that will enable communication between groups and will provide access to a database.

IFAR – International Forum for Aviation Research

VZLÚ is a member of the International Forum for Aviation Research - IFAR, the world´s only aviation research establishment network. IFAR aims to connect research organisations worldwide, to enable the information exchange and communication by conducting Summits, workshops and conferences, hosting internet forums, etc., to develop views and recommendations on research strategies for the future and to develop among its members a shared understanding on challenges faced by the global aviation research community. The focus of IFAR is on non-competitive aviation research and development related to global technical challenges such as emission, noise, security, safety, efficient operations and steps to reduce the impact of aviation on climate and the environment.

ESRE - association of european space research establisment

VZLU is a member of the ESRE (Association of European Space Research Establisment) since 2018. The Association focuses on the coordination and integration of space-related research activities. The association focuses mainly on European industry and seeks to intensify the cooperation of its members with third parties in the field of space. It aims to increase the global competitiveness of the European space sector. Other members : Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences, CIRA, DLR, INTA, NLR and ONERA.

SATA - The Subsonic Aerodynamic Testing Association

VZLÚ is a member of the SATA (The Subsonic Aerodynamic Testing Association) from 2018. Association engaged in sharing practical information on solving problems that occur during aerodynamic experiments and during the operation of low speed aerodynamic tunnels. There are also presented individual measuring procedures and modernization activities leading to the maintenance of aerodynamic tunnels at a high technical level.
