BladeGeom - software tool for blade design of axial turbines (2019)

BladeGeom is an interactive software tool for blade design of axial turbines. It is an extension module to the open-source software FreeCAD. The user can create and modify parametrized blade profiles, stack them to create a blade, generate end walls and other stage features or create CFD suitable geometry. All of this using a graphical user interface or Python scripts. The stage parameters (velocity triangles, efficiency, degree of reaction...) can be estimated by a 1D stage design method and a free vortex theory.

Bound2CFD (2019)

The 'Bound2CFD' software is designed for parametric setting of boundary conditions for CFD simulation, aimed for the application of Active Flow Control (AFC). The means of AFC is most often introduced by arrays of the jets blowing from the surface. In the CFD simulation, for the sake of saving computational resources, computational time, operational memory, etc., it is suitable to simulate only the effect of the AFC devices (e.g., jets) by boundary conditions. This piece of software is based on suitable parametrization of the AFC jet outlet flowfield and allows external communication with the general CFD solver.

ZEDO control system for Lamb wave data acquisition (2019)

The software is designed to control the ZEDO system from Dakel through the standard ZDeamon user program. The purpose of the program is to adapt the user functionality of ZEDO for the lambda testing area. Surrogate modeling by means of neural networks in aircraft engine life monitoring (2019)

Basic Attitude Control System (ACS) (2019)

The document describes the Basic Attitude Control System software for small satellites, which has minimal footprint, weight, power consumption and wiring complexity. The software is based on active dissipation of rotational energy (detumbling) and active alignment with the Earth's magnetic field. It is sufficient to measure from a MEMS magnetometer (a semiconductor device with millimeter dimensions) and command magnetotorquer coils that can be integrated directly in the solar panel (no extra volume or weight).

TMF_PRED_V4 - Thermomechanical Fatigue Prediction and Damage Growth Method (2019)

“TMF_PRED” is a prediction tool and analysis of thermo-mechanical fatigue. The program enables the analysis of low-cycle and high-cycle fatigue for the input stress history. The report deals with software validation "TMF_PRED". Furthermore, its individual parts and user manual are discussed. The report provides validation of the program with 3 methods of general calculations. The manual of program settings and how to enter the load history and material parameters are described in detail. Due to the difficulty of the NCU, VCÚ and TMF, these problems are solved by individual institutions as "in-house" software, which are not public.

Multiaxial Fatigue Prediction (2019)

Computational software for calculation of fatigue life prediction under multiaxial stress was created. The software is based on a Matlab script. For simpler user applications is created GUI. The report deals with the study of fatigue life of material during multiaxial fatigue. At the beginning of the work is acquainted with the fatigue of material passing to multiaxial and multiaxial fatigue. In the next part the individual criteria of multiaxial fatigue are elaborated, mainly for low cycle fatigue for determination of lifetime prediction of tested material. The procedure of material testing using test samples has been described. The tests were controlled by deformation under unproportional low cycle fatigue and these criteria were chosen to correspond to the given load.

Software for rivet jonts fatigue life estimation (2019)

The software is focused on fatigue life calculation of rivet joints. The calculation algorithm is based on the concept called Stress Severity Factor. Input data involve basic geometrical and technological parameters of the joint, the material of the connected parts and the load transferred by the fastener. The program evaluates the necessary stress concentration factors, calculates the Stress Severity Factor and the corresponding fatigue curve of the material to be joined. A theoretical and user manual has been prepared for the program. The program has been verified using the fatigue test results from the tests of samples with low level of transferred load.

rhoPisoAUSMFoam (2019)

The software can be used in the design of high-pressure compressors and in particular to study their non-design states where relatively complex phenomena occur, including possible interaction with the shock waves occurring in the compressor as a result of high compression, aerodynamic blockage or breakaway flow.

MRSTsFOAMv2 (2019)

MRSTsFOAMv2 software enables to solve reactive flow with heat transfer. This is particularly beneficial for the design of the combustion chambers of aircraft engines. The software allows to divide the computational domain into reactive and non-reactive parts and thus speed up the calculation up to 8 times while maintaining the accuracy of the calculation.

Software for simulation of flow in radial blade cascades (2018)

Software is designed for simulation of centripetal flow in radial turbine blade cascades. Particular attention is paid to cases with high supersonic output Mach number. The software is in form of source codes writen in "C" programming language and in the form of binary executable file for operation system Linux. Input data for the software is the name of main configuration file. The main configuration file contains all information needed for running the calculation. The output data of the software are in form of text files containing parameters of the flow-field as well as data file for commercial post-processor Tecplot. The software allows to simulate flows for outlet Mach number in range from 0.1 to 3.5 and for the Reynolds number in range from 10E4 to 10E8.

ERT TOOLS Software: EIDORS v3.8 Toolbox Interface with Anisotropic Gaussian Filter (2018)

Software for nonlinear lifting line theory with propeller slipstream effect (2018)

The software is for computation of a wing with an effect of propeller slipstream. It can quickly predict aerodynamic characteristics of both a single wing and the wings affected by the hard-jet stream. The software will be part of a larger optimization interface that will be used for a conceptual design of regional aircraft.

A-TDM (2018)

The SW serves as a numerical simulator of the engine, generating the missing thermodynamic data from the individual engine components from the given boundary conditions. The data can also be used to verify the design vs. experiment. SW is useful for simulating any turbine engine with radial compressor and axial turbine. Further modifications to the SW can achieve a variable engine configuration according to specific requirements. In addition to parameters in steady operating modes, this SW can also capture the course of changes in physical quantities when changing operating parameters, so-called transition states.

Dynamics of paddle wheels (2018)

The program processes numerical data from the modal analysis of paddle wheels made in the Abaqus program. Data is managed to visualize the dynamic properties of the analyzed blade wheel. Dynamic properties are visualized as Campbell and SAFE diagrams. Critical frequencies with respect to dynamic excitation are also visualized in both diagrams. Further, by means of a weighting function, it is shown on modal shapes that are susceptible to system debugging.

Control software for Firetest III

Control software is used for Firetest III device, which is used for specimen testing under CS-25 appendix F part I standard. Program is used for calibration, control and measured data acquisition, data are also displayed and post processed. Software us compatible with OS Windows 7 and later, programing platform is National Instrumensts Labview 2015. Data output is realised in text files in format compatible with Microsoft Excel program.

Control software for firetest II (2017)

Comm4CFD (2017)

Comm4CFD software is created and used for external communication with a CFD solver. It is focused on the prescription of aeroelastic deformation based on modal analysis. The software expands the existing CFD software capabilities, in our case of Edge software, however an analogous procedure could be done with any CFD tool.

Software for a simulation of boundary layer control (2017)

This is a software for evaluating boundary layer parameters using non-stationary integral equations including terms for blowing or suction simulation. For the specified velocity distribution at the boundary layer edge and other necessary data, obtained for example from a CFD software, the result is the distribution of boundary layer parameters along the surface length.

The software MLWing2 is aimed for a load calculation of the thin elastic airplane wings (swept or with dihedral). The method of the solution is nonlinear lifting line theory. The wing can be deformed by bending and torque.

The modification of AUSM + up algorithm for use in OpenFOAM environment with dynamic mesh is described in this report. Algorithm AUSM + up is suitable for solving flow phenomena in a wide interval of speeds. U-3D-LBC-TR (2016)

Software for calculation of three-dimensional unsteady flow with interaction of two linear blade cascades. The flow is modeled as turbulent with effect of the laminar-turbulent boundary layer transition. Both linear blade cascades are consist either from prismatic blades or from blades with only slightly varying profile along the span. Software is in form of the source code in "C" language as well as in form of binary executable file for operating system Linux. First input parameter of the software is a name of the main configuration file which contains an informations needed for run of the computation (such as names of files with computational mesh, names of files with the initial condition, names of files with values of the boundary conditions etc). Second parameter of the software is an integer which specifies number of CPUs. Output of the software is system of text files with parameters of the flow field which may be use for restart of the computation or for following analysis of the flow field. Another output is the data-file for the commercial postprocessor Tecplot.

The Centrifugal Compressor Impeller Designer - VKK (2016)

This is a software for design of centrifugal compressor impeller. It is programmed in Python 3.0 and it is designed for Linux and Windows operating systems. Inputs are the basic design parameters of the centrifugal compressor and output is a 3D geometry of impeller.

Software for the design of a circular supersonic nozzle (2016)

The software is intended for a design of a supesonic part of a Laval nozzle used in aerodynamic wind tunnels or other experimental devices, in a circular or planar configuration. The nozzle conture is evaluated by a method of characteristics derived for an axisymmetric flow (in case of the circular shape). The method is completed by a viscosity correction according to Head (turbulent boundary layer estimate).

TMF_PRED (2016)

Main goal of the TMF_PRED software is a prediction and analysis of thermo-mechanical fatigue. Software can be run within commercial software MATLAB. Both variants for low-cycle and high cycle fatigue are supported. Loading spectrum can be executed either from FEM input of via mathematical description. In the case analysis of FEM input, nodal results are analyzed. Software predicts damage progression based on loading spectrum. Uniaxial fatigue data are used for damage prediction.

OSWaves (2015)

The software contains equations for calculation of parametres of oblique shock waves like pressure, temperature, density and enthropy. Also calculates these parametres in moist air and shows them in a chart.

DUCT (2015)

The Duct program was designed for the fan noise propagation in duct simulation and analysis. The program calculates ATI transfer function from an arbitrary point of the inlet area of cylindrical or rectangular duct to an arbitrary point inside the duct. The program is also able to determine acoustic transfer impedance acting on the noise source on the inlet side of the duct.

DFDC_A3D (2015)

Additional functions of the software DFDC are implemented to enable more precise description of the airfoil characteristics with the aid of the parametric description. RALOG (2015)

Process generator is based on 2-parametric loading spectra developed by the rain-flow approach. The software is dedicated to - loading process reversal reconstruction characterized by random loading peeks arrangement and its rain-flow matrix identical to original loading process, - generating of a set of random loading processes with different load peek arrangement but keeping the same rain-flow matrix.

BC_CFD_EXP  (2015)

Program pro stanovení rychlostního profilu větru ve volné krajině, definující tlakové zatížení výškové konstrukce větrem,dle zadaných parametrů a dále pro vyhodnocení vypočtených a naměřených hodnot.

Tento výsledek vznikl v rámci projektu TA02010382 "Zvýšení spolehlivosti vysokých tenkostěnných betonových a zděných konstrukcí při klimatických zatíženích (2012 - 2015)" s finanční podporou TA ČR.
