JTI Clean Sky (2008-2017)

JTI Clean Sky was launched in 2008 and the overall project completion is scheduled for the end of 2017, the budget amounts to 1.6 billion euros, of which 800 million euros are EU subsidies. The advantage of this extensive research and development program, in comparison to the EU Framework Programmes, is the opportunity to prepare complex demonstrators that are already at an advanced stage of development. Some applications are verified on flying laboratories, which are specially adjusted aircraft equipped with the necessary measuring equipment.
