Czech Space Week: VZLU presented the plans for the first Czech satellite constellation

During the space industry days held in the planetarium Brno VZLU representatives presented a new Czech space industry integration project - Czech satellite constellation.

The satellite constellation (first satellite should be launched in 2024) will primarily focus on Earth observation in various modes, however later on there are planned also further missions as space debris removal or on-orbit manufacturing.

The basis of the whole project is a scalable modular satellite with weight ranging between 50 and 200 kg depending on the mission type.

Presentation in Brno can be considered as a first step in negotiations with Czech partners, the whole project is considered as a national integration project with an emphasis on enhancing the capabilities of the Czech space industry.

The introduction (only in Czech) can be seen here.
