PW JET - Ecological, new technology overpressure axial fan family with low weight, high efficiency and low noise, with diameter from 300 to 700 mm.

Project objectives

Development, manufacture and testing of the prototypes of technologically advanced, ecological overpressure axial fan family with, low weight and low noise, with lower electricity consumption and higher efficiency than types in use. Fans are primarly intended for application on rail vehicles.The series will cover fans with diameter from 300 to 700 mm and air power from 1 m3/s200Pa to 10 m3/s3000 Pa. Their design will be as low-weight as possible, with use of loght alloys and plastics, with emphasis on operation economy (lower energy consumption and service costs). Fans will be designed to be maintenance-free with operating life as long as the full operating life of the vehicle. The intended application of the fan family is on´the vehicles like the new electric locomotive 109E from ŠKODA TRANSPORTATION company, suburban units and on the underground vehicles. Lower energy consumption of the vehicles will be reached due to low weight of the fans. The export is supposed along the mentioned vehicles.
